Great Material Donations & Emergency Preparedness training at NYC OEM by FEMA, Salvation Army & ReUseNYC. Great people/minds discussing real lessons learnt/strategy from #Sandy and planning for next disasters. At SISFI, NY Human Suffering and Wellness Coalition NYHSWC and the NY Humanitarians and Community Advocates Network NYHCAN our primary focus is on effectively alleviating the human suffering by providing tangible, effective and immediatly accessible resources and support for people. If we can do that then we are fulfilling our mission and purpose. The OEMs EOC is an amazing place and look like the kind of human crisis response and alerts center I want to setup for @SISFI. A lot of work ahead for community development and resiliency and were ready for it. Having information overload from so many great meetings this week. Time to disconnect, power down and unwind.
