Great Spark! Love David I just returned home from an emergency trip to AZ. My mother has been battling cancer for the last few years and was in the hospital. The small town they live in didnt have a hospital with the resources that she needed, so she was transported to the city about 60 miles away. We ended up staying at a Days Inn. It was about 2 blocks from the hospital, and they also gave a considerable discount for guests that had family in the hospital. My sisters and I live in different states, but choose to shared the room and expenses. We stayed at that motel for almost 3 weeks. After a few days, I happened to notice the same special needs gentleman came in when hardly anyone was around to have breakfast. It didnt take long to realize that man was homeless, and the motel was allowing him to eat breakfast there EVERY morning. That was one of the most beautiful acts of kindness that I could have witnessed. It was incredible that this particular motel chose to be a lifeline for that one individual. Did they change the world? Yes! That one person they choose to feed, they are his lifeline. For EVERYONE that noticed, ( I am certain I am not the only one who did), they were leading by example. All you have to do is make the world a better place for just ONE person. I wonder how many sparks of random kindness, this one little out of the way motel has started just because they choose to be a life line for one person. I didnt ask how long they had been feeding him, I kind of wish now I had of. When we left, I gathered, a bag of things we had acquired while we were there, shampoo, Unopened travel size tooth paste, plastic silverware, styrofoam bowls, cereal, random snack foods, ect and asked the desk clerk if she would make sure he got it, and told her to say thank you to the owners for making the world a better place for him. With a rather large smile, she said, I will GLADLY make sure he gets it.
