Great Spirit, Almighty Healer and Creator of all things seen and unseen, it is with a humbled heart that we gather together to offer up many thanks. We thank you for answered prayers and the blessings bestowed upon your children. We thank you for the many gifts given. May they be used for the betterment of all. We thank you for comfort during our days of grieving, the sense of calm when we when we tend to become stressed, guidance when we seem lost and alone. We thank you for the knowledge that you are always with us, carrying us in times of distress and loneliness. We thank you for our families and friends that support us along our path. We thank you for those that may come into our lives for a short time to bring insight or wisdom when we need it the most. We thank you for the rising of Grandfather Sun each morning to remind us of the blessing of another day of life. We thank you for his warmth and light throughout the day. We thank you for the mists that gently float down from above into the valleys below. We thank you for the early morning dew on the plants to prepare the soil for growth. We thank you for the summer lightning that provides the needed nitrates in the soil. We thank you for Grandmother Moon as she watches over us during our slumber and for the gravity she provides us during our time on Mother Earth. We thank you for Father Sky as he protects us from the harmful radiation of space. We thank you for the magnetism that allows us to keep the atmosphere intact. We thank you for Mother Earth as she continues to supply us with the waters that hydrate the bodies of all living things. We thank you for her rain forests that provide us with the air we breathe. We thank you for all two-leggeds, four-leggeds, swimmers, fliers and crawlers. We thank you for the trees that supply us with wisdom, the winds that bring us the music, and nature that shows us the importance of life. We thank you for our Elders as they bring us the wisdom of the ancestors and the lessons for the present. We thank you for our children that have inherited the life we have provided them. May they be stronger and more respectful than that which we have been. May the next seven generations bring about an era of peace and spirituality that has not graced the past for many centuries. We thank you for the knowledge that we are spiritual beings in mortal bodies. May we learn to recognize that and become the beings we were meant to be. We thank you for your patience when we tend to rush into things, discipline when we stray from our path, love when we feel forsaken. Emenv
