Great Spirit, Almighty Healer and Creator of all things, with humbled hearts we gather before you to offer up many thanks. We thank you for the precious gift of life. We thank you for our ancestors who remain with us in spirit at times of need. We thank you for the ground we walk upon for it holds their blood and history of our ancestors. We thank you for our trials we endure that serve to strengthen us for what lies ahead. We thank you for your mercy of which we do not deserve. We thank you for the many blessings you have bestowed upon us. We thank you for the wisdom that have been passed down throughout the generations. We thank you for the Elders that bring us the lessons of today as well as those of the past. We thank you for our children that remind us of many things and those of lessons long forgotten. We thank you for family and friends that will gather with us during this week of quiet reflection of thankfulness. We thank you for friends that may come only for a short time to bring insight when it is needed during our journey. We thank you for the knowledge that life does not end with the decay of our bodies, but will live on in the next phase of life. We thank you for the music that can be found in the winds and rushing waters. We thank you for all two-leggeds, four-leggeds, swimmers, fliers and crawlers that surround us. We thank you for this awakening period where lost native souls once again become rejuvenated. We thank you for your forgiveness when we have fallen short of your direction. We thank you for the cool gentle breeze that caresses our skin during the early morning hours. We thank you for the rising and setting of Grandfather Sun each day. We thank you for Grandmother Moon as she watches over us during our slumber. We thank you for the clouds that bring the moisture necessary for life. We thank you for the oceans that supply the clouds with the water for our survival. We thank you for the warmth of the sun. We thank you for the many herbs and plants that serve to nourish and cure our many ailments. We thank you for Mother Earths life blood that cascades down from the mountains to the rivers, lakes and oceans below. We thank you for the sacredness of the circle, from the four seasons to the cycle of life. We thank you for the majestic mountains, vast expanse of the Universe, and the rain forests that our eyes behold in awe. Emenv
