Message from the Mountain Many people care about quality and will pay a premium price rather than accept a so-called bargain. “The test of an enjoyment is the remembrance which it leaves behind.” To many times we enjoy the wrong things. It looks good, feels good, it taste good but it’s terrible for us. This could be food, entertainment, activity and friendship. I use myself as an example, that way I don’t pick on anyone else. When I was a kid growing up in the small town of Bostic N.C. I had no father figure in my home so I tended to lean toward the rough side. I was about 14 when I hooked up with a moonshiner from Golden Valley. I would ride with him while he carried corn liquor from the still. I had already started drinking and smoking a year or so earlier. I called this enjoyment at the time and later the remembrance was not good and the effect it had on me was not good. If we could only see the end of the tunnel of life that we are living it would surely make a difference and impact on us at the time. God knew what He was doing when He created us, He knew we would go through some tough times and would also have good mixed in with it. Many great things came along after my wild spree. Nancy came into my life and helped get on the right track, the moonshiner I spoke of gave his life to Christ. God called me to preach and put so many wonderful people in my life. Now I have a FB ministry that I never expected. God is so good to us all and has great things in store for us all. Paul wrote to the Romans in Chapter 5: 6For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. I’m sure many of you have testimonies like mine and have gotten back on course, many still have troubles. Turn to Jesus; He’s your only hope. Have a blessed day. Pastor Clyde
