Great! When I was in high school I dreamed to learn F. Scott - TopicsExpress

Great! When I was in high school I dreamed to learn F. Scott Fitzgerald and John Steinbeck after I graduated high school. But in university I forgot them all. When I decided not to take literature as my major due to some reasons, I let many things top them in my priority list. Now, when I am on the edge, I feel it again: feel to study literature. Im lacked when it comes to understanding Ernest Hemingway. The stories and words are simple yet it becomes hard to find grand theory behind his simplicity. In Indonesia its like SGAs stories, simple words but hard to be caught what he tries to convey, the values lies behind. These recent years I keep my jealousy, to my friends who have taken writing path more seriously than I have. Im jealous when they talk about Albert Camus, George Orwell, Toni Morrison, Ray Bradburry, etc. and debating about interpretation of Hemingway. I read some of those writers works but its just reading while they speak about writing tehcnique and all. I dont regret to choose Public Administration over literature as I like it too but the interest I have cannot be carelessly ignored. Should I give it a shot after my graduation? But how am I going to live? Heul...!!! I need to work in order to keep me living while attempting to study more. For me understand literature is to understand human beings lives including mine.
