Great day yesterday for Steve Butts testimonial day. Lots of former players turned up and a great crew of present Northies ran the day. The Opposition all stars batted first and got 205 off 45 overs. Bing senior 36, col Obrien 30 retired, Craig Courtney 22 got some runs. The great man butts got 4/21 off 5 overs to be the best of the bowlers. It is reported that butts was robbed of and 8 or 9 for as there was a few dropped catches!!! We wont mention names shorty, Matty grant, Cato! Butts team batted and got the runs in the last over with CC robbing butts the chance to score the winning runs with a ball that ran along the ground and bowled butts. Butts did hit a magnificent pull shot to the boundary the previous over. But shorty 39, Craig Skeau 73 and Matty Grant 44 got some runs to get butts team a win in the last over. Well done to Jacko and all the team that organized the day and help run the day. But last of all we thank Buttsy for all he has done for our club over a 30 year period and we salute you Buttsy, thank you.
