Great end to the week with another workshop with Khaini! (we forgot pictures đ) Despite the macarons not being baked as expected, we were able to accomplish several objectives: - determine which baking mat is most suitable (baking paper won again!) - achieve smooth macaron bottoms (i.e super easy removal with no stickiness) - troubleshoot browning of macaron shells - practice the correct piping technique - no hollows macaron shells - troubleshoot possible reasons as to why the shells cracked. - troubleshoot the best way to dry the piped macaron shells. - discussed other ways of flavoring the ganache As with everything we endeavor, do not be discouraged on the first try.
