Great interview...and Larry Hogan was fluid and on point. Simple question - If the progressive policies of OMalley Brown and Blake worked wouldnt Baltimore City be a social and economic utopia...Elijah Cummings has been representing the majority of Baltimore for decades and hes yet another example of how the urban vote has been used and abused. You will find there are more social and economic conservatives in the City and willing to work to rebuild Baltimores Old School Neighborhoods - a simple dialogue proves that. The hurdle is investment funds. Most people will not invest in the city knowing how hostile the City government is to those who show an interest. Ive had many a conversation with families in the City about this and they recognize the corruption as well. We spend millions upon millions on social service checks and yet we train none of the recipients to rebuild their own neighborhoods even though they want a job not a hand out. We can fund new prisons, telephone systems and race courses, light rails and off shore wind - yet we cant lock out the drug gangs....the very gangs who steal and assault urban youth. Baltimore is a war zone. You have the corruption of government, the attack on the private sector and gangs clashing - all while the people trying to hold on to their homes give up and pack up and leave. Leaving a skeleton of a city - no tax base or FAMILY - just abandoned homes and bullets. We can win the city vote if we fight the status quote and expose progressives and their polices for their results.
