Great little restaurant DINER REVIEW • JUL 09, 2013 LIKES IT We stopped here as we passed through Beaver Dam on our way to Tennessee, and we were very glad we did. Friday night, and the place was very busy. Everyone in town seemed to be there, and everyone seemed to know each other. Customers on their way in would stop by three or four tables to chat, same with customers on their way out. The wait staff also seemed to know everyone, and were kind and attentive to us as strangers. Service was prompt and very friendly. The food is very good, although not exactly haute cuisine. Simple country cooking, done extremely well. The yeast rolls were delicious, and our waitress enthusiastically brought us some sweet butter that put the rolls into a dessert category all their own. Speaking of dessert, there were over a dozen options and they were all home-made. I dont know that I would make Beaver Dam a destination just to eat at the OC Cafe.
