Great news! South Willamette Street will be re-striped to two full travel lanes, a center turn lane and two bike lanes in the spring of 2015 for a year-long test of traffic flow and safety. Thank you! Thank you, to the many hundreds of us for all the time, effort, intention and mutual-support which contributed to this great outcome. Arriving By Bike applauds the Mayor and Eugene City Council for exhibiting vision that encompasses a future with transportation choice. We especially appreciate the Eugene Transportation Engineering and Transportation Planning staff members who undertook a thorough search for a design which will provide longterm benefits for all affected road users and businesses.
