Braxton Martinez, if, Laconia Muskrats (Saint Louis/JR in 2015) One of the league’s most consistent and pure hitters throughout the summer, Martinez’ line drive swing seemed to impress every coach and scout who saw him. He showed good pull-side power, hitting three home runs in his NECBL stint. He hit .321 for the summer and also snuck up on some people with his solid speed, swiping seven bags along the way. He also impressed with his ability to drive the ball to all fields and do so against tough off-speed pitches. And, aside from his offensive prowess, Martinez profiles as an above average defender at third base with a strong throwing arm.
