Great reminder from Bernie Geary (Commissioner for Children and Young People and previous CEO of Jesuit Social Services) that young people involved with the justice system are “not demons - they are just ordinary kids and they deserve every chance that we can give them”. Bernie was speaking alongside Jesuit Social Services Policy Manager Kate Colvin at the launch of a new short film about youth diversion programs designed to steer young people away from a life of crime.
