Greenwich Republicans pick slate for fall To the surprise of no one, Greenwich First Selectman Peter Tesei has been nominated for a fourth term by the Republican Town Committee. But whether he will have an opponent in the fall very much remains an open question. Greenwich Republicans met Wednesday night to formally nominate their slate of candidates for the November municipal elections. As expected the committee unanimously supported Mr. Tesei and Selectman David Theis to lead the ticket. The Greenwich Democratic Town Committee will meet Thursday night. While Selectman Drew Marzullo is running for a third term, no Democrat as of yet has volunteered to take on Mr. Tesei. The floor will be opened for nominations tomorrow night..... ....The RTC voted to retain all of its incumbents on the BET as Chairman Michael Mason will be joined by Leslie Tarkington, Marc Johnson, Art Norton and newcomers Bill Drake, chairman of the RTM’s Budget Overview Committee, and Nancy Weissler, former chairman of the Board of Education. Candidacies for John Lucarelli and Jon Redmond fell short of the support of others and they will not be on the ballot. greenwich-post/16321/greenwich-republicans-pick-slate-for-fall/
