Greeting to you all Scholars! Paradox Businesses and other not-for profit organizations spend huge financial resources on physical assets and account for them however, it embarrassing that the human resource, who actually makes these assets function is not accounted for. Isnt it offensive ? Do you want to know your value to the university you are working for in monetary term? this is your value as per the Historical Cost Model of Human resource accounting: THE COST INCURRED FOR RECRUITMENT, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT, which will be amortized over the expected length of service of individual employee. How long is our expected service year ? I believe individuals contribution in the organization should be recognized and measured. But, I would argue that monetary value should not be attached to it and It is against human moral standard. Let us see your perspectives in this regard.
