Greetings!! After submitting NSC grant project, it’s been another year-end retrospect. 2014, to me, is a year of abundance as I have changed a lot in my status. First and foremost, the arrival of second baby girl puts our family into ecstasy. I am so grateful to God for this is His gifts to me. Nevertheless, being a father of two, I am so swamped with taking care of these tiny creatures. I believe that’s the reason why so many people disappear in social network after they are having babies! Secondly, I have switched my faculty position successfully from TKU to THU, a Christian university with proximity to my hometown. I don’t have to travel to and fro between Taipei and Taichung every week. The relocation also allows me to spend more time with my family. While I have to experience more disturbing midnight cry and clean more poo and pee, I still appreciate this “sweet burden” in my life. Third, it’s delighted to reconnect with friends whom I have been losing track of for a while, thanks to the help of modern technology. By means of Line and facebook, I reach my high school classmates again. It’s glad to learn everyone is doing very well……just getting a little bit of seniority. I can’t recognize some of them, but I remember most of their awkward part in high school life. And I am looking forward to the upcoming high school reunion in Chinese New Year! At any rate, I would like to express my gratitude to people around me, whether virtually or realistically. Thanks for your support and encouragement, you really made my life complete! Even though we’ve all got tight schedule and had too little time to catch up with, please always keep this friendship in mind! Merry New Year and Happy Christmas, Louis
