Greetings :) Am looking at day to day challenges faced by us, and one of them is CRIME. I look-up at challenges faced and try being up solutions. Am here trying to make a Case Study in various ways to Lessen Crime here in Botswana and one of them it’s through the use of Technology, and am thinking Mobile Application Development. See your Smart-Phones can make you a Crime-Fighting Hero. Am still drawing up all Features or Functionalities that this Mobile Application should have. It should be Quick and Easy to Use. And am sure by now almost everyone has a Smart-Phone at Hand, and when there is any Suspicious Activity it’s all at our Fingertips. It should be also networked with the Botswana Police Service. Technology is growing every day and there is always new Solutions. This idea can be implemented, this is small Country, less Headache, and only few Major Cities. It will be Especially Useful for Tips on Drug Activities, Suspicious Individuals and Vehicles or Locations of wanted Suspects. With this Mobile Application, it will not ONLY get us as Citizens involved in helping Solve Crimes, but also to help Communities to be Safe, and also build a Good Relationship between us and the Botswana Police. An Application like this, can Improve the Quality of Crime Reports and not just relying on the Human Eye. Am sure by we all know Eye-Witnessing identification is Crap. This is just a Suggestion to us all in “Fight Crime in Gaborone” and thinking this could make Botswana a Safer place and of course not 100% but a just at a certain Percentage. I know not everybody is a Fan of Crime-Fighting Applications. And now it’s up to us should we smell the Coffee now or after 10 Years? You can as well share your view or thoughts.
