Greetings FB Peeps, Im so honored to have participated in #Platform14, Platform Summit #ATL, last month. Im so grateful for the absolute confidence of founder #HankWilliams and curator #GabrielleGlore who pushed me to do this. Yes, I tried to talk my way out of it ... truth be told I was just plain scared. Ive given countless speeches and, gee, maybe thousands of live shots on television/radio, but none so personal. Of course, the experience turned out to be transformational. My BFF #TiffanyNorwood who suggested me (after she was asked to speak-yes, I wanted to flog her at times) can testify, I had many moments of terror right up to the moment the door closed on the plane heading to ATL. I did it anyway. The speech is a synthesis of four decades of life experienced all over the world ... a concept reflective of all I have witnessed, know intuitively and deeply believe. Our #stories are powerful. Ive discovered my purpose on earth is help people share what they know outLoud. Its led to the very soft launch of outLoud inc., a digital and technology speaking platform ... marrying the best practices of technology and public speaking ... to demystify how we frame that story and how we tell it to move the crowds we need to succeed ... be it two people or two million. It matters. The bottom line is this ... the value of what we know/do diminishes rapidly if we cant figure out how to talk about it so others can understand. I chuckled watching this ... those who know me well or have seen my broadcast work will sense my terror through the uncharacteristically soft delivery ... my peeps know I have an overwhelming tendency to speak loudly and clearly even when I have no idea what Im talking about ... just ask my cousin #ChadCallanan LOL. This is a first run of this idea. I am so excited to refine the concept, refine the public speaking workshops we do (I have the most awesome team in the world!), refine the work we do with companies & individuals, build the tech we are developing, and basically to increase access to our tools to anyone who wants help in sharing what they know! Lets hear it for minimum viable products ... as Tiffany says, you gotta start somewhere because there is a huge ROI on faith #Tribetan.
