Greetings. I have of late been studying the science of hypnosis. There is much controversy to this, however, there is proof of the ability of one person to be able to hypnotize or brainwash another to great extents. Indeed, after much study I am beginning to think that hypnosis may have been one of the magical practices that the Pharisees objected to in the acts of Jesus, Judaism has a history of being against the use of magic. I think that Paul the apostle from Tarsus may have also been using this type of technique. As evidence, in the Christian Bible the New Testament, we see the belief in original sin, it is very much concentrated upon, especially by the church fathers. This has been used I think as a way to use the human guilt conscience to hypnotize people into a guilt induced relationship with their version of G-d. I am not saying this to offend anyone, please do not find this offensive, I have come to this conclusion after observing the practices of many Christian churches (faith healers etc) and comparing them to scientific studies of hypnosis.
