Greetings from the Alternate Universe where the strange and illogical account for the majority view. We just had an election which we refer to euphemistically as democratic. The purpose of the election boiled down to what group would represent the all of the people even though large numbers of people could not be persuaded to vote. The result of the election was actually bought and paid for by a few rich people and organizations who don’t represent anyone but themselves. The overriding issue was that the big guy in charge was not getting things done. No mention was made by the opposition of how they had prevented anything from getting done ever since the big guy first took the oath of office. Almost no one seemed smart enough to have noticed. The unworthy opposition…with a wink and a nod and lots and lots of un-pure propaganda convinced the voters the problems of inaction and lack of progress were caused by the big guy in charge when they themselves were clearly guilty as hell. Hell being a mythological place no one in this universe really believes in. Then, all the unworthys had to do was label their opponents as supporters of the big guy so ensure victory. In spite of tons of facts in their favor the opponents rolled over and played dead. Do you see how screwy our world is? Now the problem for the unworthy opposition should be they have to show how much better they are than anything the big guy represents. In all likelihood since they are mostly bankrupt of meaningful ideas they will foul up their own nests and the entire country, but in our strange world they will blame it on the big guy, push lies, buy elections, disenfranchise voters, gerrymander voting districts and be reelected by not so smart voters who admire their ingenuity. The unworthy opposition is so capable they can make the most ruthless confidence man blush with envy.
