Greetings in the name of Yahushua May the grace of Yahushua, and the love and blessings of YHWH , and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Does God Hear the Prayers of Sinners or Unsaved Persons? Several similar Old Testament verses are sometimes interpreted to mean that God does not listen to prayers from sinners or the unsaved:for more:- christianbiblereference.org/faq_prayer.htm John 9:31 We know that God doesnt listen to sinners. Instead, he listens to people who are devout and who do what he wants. This was said by the man born blind at birth who got healed by Yahushua. This was his understanding of the ways of Elohim. This is not the Word of Elohim. It is only his simple human thinking when he replied to the question from the Jews. There were instances in the Bible where YHWH answered the Prayers from sinners. ____________________________________________ Jeremiah 29:12-13 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. ____________________________________________ For YHWH to answer prayers from sinners or non believers, YHWH will look at the sincerity and humility of their heart. They need to believe in Yahushua, have a very strong faith in Yahushua and exhibit real repentance of their sins. If you pray hard and search with all your heart, have faith in Yahushua and turn from your evil ways, Elohim will hear your prayers and answer you if your prayers are in line with Elohims will. Yahushua healed the Greek woman, an unbeliever after testing her faith in Elohim. _________________________________________ Mark7:25-29 25 A woman whose little daughter had an evil spirit heard about Yahushua . She went to him and bowed down. 26 The woman happened to be Greek, born in Phoenicia in Syria. She asked him to force the demon out of her daughter. 27 Yahushua said to her, First, let the children eat all they want. Its not right to take the childrens food and throw it to the dogs. 28 She answered him, Lord, even the dogs under the table eat some of the childrens scraps. 29 Yahushua said to her, Because you have said this, go! The demon has left your daughter. ____________________________________________ Similarly in the case of Nineveh, the people believed in Elohim and fasted and wore sackcloth to show their true repentance. YHWH answered their prayers and spared them from His wrath. ____________________________________________ Jonah 3:5 The people of Nineveh believed God. They decided to fast, and everyone, from the most important to the least important, dressed in sackcloth. ____________________________________________ He is Elohim and we cannot fathom His mind and the mysteries of His ways. He can do anything and anyway He wants. With man it is impossible but with Elohim nothing is impossible. Matthew 19:26 Yahushua looked at them and said, It is impossible for people to save themselves, but everything is possible for God. Praise, honour, power and glory to YHWH. Thank you.
