Greetings to all, For the past year, open and honest communication have been key to our attempts to coordinate California Marijuana Legalization advocacy efforts. We have worked hard to meet those standards in striving for a full cooperative effort as a way to ensure success. I continue to welcome each of your input to enhance our mutual effort and achieve our common objectives. Our timeline and resources require an acceleration of some of our actions. As we near completion of the drafting phase of the 2014 Initiative, there have been a significant amount of last minute suggestions forwarded to us due to our final outreach for input. As we analyze the value of the content and prepare the document for submission, here is a summary of some progress thresholds: * It has been nearly one year since SaveCannabis.org announced the intent to present an open-source document to the people of California. It was then generated so that anyone, anywhere could become a part of the process contributing towards a 2014 California Marijuana Prohibition Repeal Initiative. * The quantity and quality of the views and suggestions submitted exceeded our expectations, especially from the legal community where so many came forth to provide valuable input, some critical and some supportive, but all constructive. The inclusive dynamics and evolution of the document proved our methodology to be a success. * Additional campaign planning and fundraising efforts are now the primary focus as we finalize the document for submission. Our final review and vetting prior to transfer to Sacramento is beginning today and continuing through the weekend when the document will be formally closed to all submissions. Now is truly the last opportunity to join in the effort. * Two separate legal reviews will be completed by this weekend as well. Any significant revisions from now through the closure date will be considered as long as time allows. * We have followed a clear and well thought out path since the inception of our project, stayed true to our core principles and are confident of success as we continue to follow through as planned. * Our open attempts to include and unite our community have been extremely successful overall. With a broad range of support from all sectors that continues to grow every day, we will continue to focus on our mutual goals and on assembling a superior team of positive contributors all working towards legalization success. * As the campaign expands, anyone with the desire to participate is encouraged to contact me immediately regarding a variety of opportunities.
