Greg Marshall is a good friend of mine, and an important friend to and for the Conservative grassroots in Michigan. He is a Conservative and has a talk radio show that can be heard in the northern third of the lower peninsula, as well as in SE Michigan due to simulcasting. As you can imagine, losing a child is a pain and horror that nobody should have to endure, and while the emotional devastation is the most difficult to deal with, the financial consequences that go hand in hand with the loss of a dependent could not have come at a worse time for Greg and his wife, Bonnie Blair Fraley. It still seems like just yesterday that I was driving to Onaway so that I could attend a fundraiser for my friend Greg, and upon arrival- realized he looked terrible, even though it was months after his emergency quadruple bypass surgery. Fortunately, he went to the ER because he felt so bad and thought he might have a bad case of the flu coming on- but not having insurance, his family has been struggling with the medical bills for a year and a half. And now this. The fundraising site has a goal of $10,000 for funeral expenses, and only $800 has been offered up to help Greg and Bonnie.
