Grilled up my sons favorite burgers this afternoon. His favorite - TopicsExpress

Grilled up my sons favorite burgers this afternoon. His favorite burger joint is 5-Guys. He declared these better than 5-Guys burgers a while back and the name stuck, though my recipe hasnt changed. Feel free to add and substitute ingredients for your own version. 5 lbs hamburger 1 cup Dons Seasoning Delight (best thing outa Augusta since James Brown.....thanks for the tip Jimmy Wilson ....Ive found a ton of uses for this stuff) 1 cup Italian bread crumbs 1 large sweet.... onion diced 3 jalapeños frenched & diced Dice everything up really fine and start blending it in with your hamburger meat, bread crumbs and Dons. Enjoy some good tunes while you work. Makes about 10-12 patties. They are loose and must be cooked on a griddle or in cast iron skillet on the grill. Add whatever wood you like to the fire....I prefer mesquite wood chunks thrown in there when I grill burgers. Run your fire slightly lower than normal grilling.....around 350 degrees. Grill until your desired level of doneness and top with whatever you like on burgers. My son is all about some bacon, bbq sauce & sweet potato tater tots. He just recently discovered the chemistry between mayo, red onion and tomatoes. The local BiLo stores carry this Dons Seasoning Delight in their meat departments. I can not recommend it highly enough. Great product and inspired story behind the product. Its excellent in burgers, rice, vegetables and as a recovery agent if you ever find yourself with overly cooked eats from your grill......hey, it happens....this stuff will turn your burnt offerings into blackened greatness.
