Groomed around Kauffman Creek trail tonight blowing through all the wind drifts. Its in great shape! A nice long trail ride to get away from the weekend traffic of Grand Lake. This weekend will be light traffic comparably, so come on up! No new snow to report, the last few days have been warm and have settled the snow. North facing and shady areas can still hold nice, loose snow. Groomed to HWY 125 at the Kauffman Kiosk and the Stillwater Kiosk, Stillwater Pass rd was groomed from Idlglen to HWY 125. Made the river crossing at Stillwater Kiosk, the gate will remain closed for the season, so ride across the snow bridge to the south. At Kauffman Creek Kiosk, opened the gate, made the berm and opened up the parking lot, as it was buried. Its not often there is good vision out of the back of the snowcat, but at a time tonight was able to get some video. The trail in front of the cat can be seen in the reflection. The angle is because of the camera, the trail is level. Be careful of slides, a video earlier on our page shows the danger well. Stick to low angle terrain and there is lots of fun to be had!
