Grotesque inequality is not a natural part of being - TopicsExpress

Grotesque inequality is not a natural part of being human. Studies showing we are innately selfless debunk the idea that dog-eat-dog capitalism is our only option. The corrosive idea that we live in a dog eat dog world is based on a very particular way of viewing the world through the eyes of an aggressive business model, peddled by those who put self interest first. According to Michigan biologists, humans would have wiped themselves out if they were selfish above all else. I have personally been to great lengths to demonstrate, through 950 letters, that caring and cooperation are not perverse but innate and make us feel well as human beings, where aggressive selfishness does not and, indeed, offends something primal in our nature. As I see and experience it, caring and cooperation occupy the high ground in evolution, where a dog-eat-dog attitude crawls around on the bottom of the evolutionary barrel.
