Group- Ive explained this before-This group is going to get lively. We will disagree. I will explain this nicely as I possibly can. If you have a problem with a post, direct them to myself, Teresa and Elijah. We are your admins(in case you hadnt realized it by now lol). We communicate daily about this group, what you all post(or dont post)and your commentary on other posts. So essentially, we study you all. There are many different personalities as well as intersections in here. We have people from the faith, we have atheists, LGBTQ, we have writers, lecturers, educators, advocates, activists, non activists and everyday people who have never in a million years thought about their own White privilege and many people of different races from all over the world in here. So this group represents for sure. Im saying this to say that You mean that you cant even handle being in a verbal spat on a post? You cant handle not being able to handle not having disagreements? Yall cant just preach to the choir all the time. Some of yall have to talk to the people who need guidance and understanding. Some of yall gotta have thicker skin and not run from the group. Thats not a mature way to handle conflict. I bet every activist that fought for equality have been treated like dog crap and their lives threatened and cussed out and everything. Did that stop them? Hell no. So why should anyone stop you from shining in this group? Thats not what Im feeling. But I do understand that talking about race all day and seeing atrocities can make someone emotionally and spiritually weak as well. But this is not what I mean. I bet out of 562 people right now, guess who dont like me or what I say? I really dont care who dont. Thats how irrelevant that is. My partner and I conceived this baby together and there is NOTHING anyone can say or do to us alongside with our wonderful co admin Teresa that will shut us up or make us run away. So if weve had to develop thick skin and so do some of you all will need to as well.
