Group 1 Blog In the early hours of the morning we set off to an Israeli school in a deprived area called Kiryat Gat. There we met some Israeli kids our own age and talked to them and played some games in order to get to know each other. It was very interesting to see how similar we are despite growing up under very different conditions. We then did a writing activity where we helped the Israeli students with their English writing and they helped us with our Hebrew. One we said our goodbyes we went to a nearby park to enjoy a Pizza lunch with iced tea, cola and a session with our Madrichim to learn about different parts of Shabbat. We then drove back into Jerusalem to go to the Machane Yehuda Market where we bought all sorts of bits and bobs. We then made our way back to our hotel to get ready for Shabbat which turned out to be an amazing night. We met all the other groups at the Western Wall and shared dinner together. We had so much fun and are loving being In ATOI Group 1. Elysia and Annabelle
