Group Condemns Attack on Omisore’s Supporters A political group, Omisore Collectives has described as a threat to the peace and stability of Osun State the recent attack on the gathering of Omisore Youth Support Forum (OYSF), warning that the State government should not introduce violence in Osun politics. In a statement signed by its State Secretary, Mallam Isa Yakubu Anobilagba, the group questioned why a peaceful gathering of youths deliberating on empowerment and skill acquisition for Osun youth should be disrupted, warning that ‘Senator Iyiola Omisore and his loyalists are peace loving and committed to peaceful and lawful methods to vote out Governor Aregbesola come 2014. ‘‘The gathering was peaceful. The venue was booked for and the event was within the bound of law. Why the state government should instigate disruption is not clear to us. Is the Governor jittery?’’, the group asked. Noting that Omisore loyalists will not engage in violence, the group advised the State government to watch its anti-people policies and programmes which has turned the masses of the state against the governor. ‘’The people are fed up with an exploitative, unaccountable regime of Aregbe and they are ready to vote him out. No amount of intimidation can stop our victory train’’, the group said.
