Group Rules and Guidelines: Please read. This is an Open Group with Open Facebook settings. All are welcome, but please take time to read these rules, guidelines and an overall ethos of Bonds. This group is, especially, for anyone effected by suicide or suicidal thoughts and feelings and for their family, friends, guardians - even professionals are welcome. It is a group which seeks to prevent, especially in connection with peoples experiences of Mental Ill Health. The whole area of any debate, conversation and general communications are seen as taboo, are taboo. It does not and will not be a background for prejudice, discrimination or judgement in any shape or form. Bullying will not be tolerated or accepted. That, you have my word on as the Administrator of this group. It is an Open Group and this is a pilot for 6 months (September 2014 - April 2015) By Open Group setting anyone can see the group, can see the posts and see the members. You can post within the group, but it will need permission before being evident. You can add friends, but the Administrator will permit membership. Given the incredibly sensitive nature of such a group - I ask that you do not randomly add people to the group - not without their permission. But please invite people and let them decide. Share or draw attention to posts you find interesting by all means, it is hoped that this will be an information hub of high quality. Please do share your blogs, writings, poetry, visual arts and other group posts which you find inspiring and forward thinking. Please start a post with the words Sensitive Warning or Trigger Warning if you feel such is needed. Another rule of or guidline to this group is a steadfast committment to acknowledging the limitation of Social Networking context. This is not an emergency service. It is not 24/7. Is it a sort of oxymoron that the group is open and yet attempts responsibilty and safety? I hope not. Safety is paramount. Please be aware that a persons spirituality is their business, theirs to explore and discover and their journey. I as members and posters to reflect on this when a persons confidence can be eroded by religion (in certain context) and strenghthened too. Therefore I ask that we attempt to actively listen, hear, read, write, see, evince, learn from each other. Adverts for ridiculous stuff which has no part in this group will be zappered away as fast as is possible. I am not a professional working within the Mental Health Fields. I dont pretend to be. I have an open record of showing challenge to current UK systems and practices. But, I would not discourage others to giving it a go. I do not see this group as an evangelistic pro-life group with surrounding religious or political hard line stances. I do not judge those who have succssfully, albeit sadly, taken their own lives, I trust that others wont too. I am mostly keen to focus on the positivity of shared experiences which have proven to have offered a choice to someone in crisis or pre crisis or pre pre crisis and after that any given circumstances can change within minutes, hours, days, months and years. Let it not be the overwhelming feeling of lonliness that is any deciding factor. At the time of this pilot, I am the administrator and creater of this group. I am a leader in such. Tentative, nervous, respectful, cautious, hopeful and a firm believer of love, warmth, knowledge and courtesy. I do not have all the answers. Many people who are paid thousands of pounds a week do not have all the answers. I do not strive for the impossible and this is not a perfect group. But, we can have a darned sock good try at it! It is a group with creative force and aims at inovation in or about an extremely sensitive environment. It is not risk free. I believe that it is better to try and attempt to enhance awareness and openess sooner than close all doors. Please feel free to comment further here, to advice, to refine and offer thoughts
