Group input needed: This might take the cake today. My mom is 81 and not in good health, needs a cane and is literally feeble. I was married for 23 years and my mom has known my ExN since he was 19. She saw him become more N as the marriage went on, & yet has had a hard time understanding all the horrible stuff he has done since the D, dragging me through the courts, manipulating our legal system, etc. Weve been Ded for 5 years and shes never said a word to him. Last week he won full custody of our teenage daughter, achieving his 5year goal of finding a way not to pay me a penny of his $300+k income. The day following his win, he and my mom were at a family function & for the 1rst time in years he went up to her with a big smile, shook her hand and said it was so good to see her. She was shocked & speechless. He took her totally by surprise & she said she had so much she wished she had said in return. (Feelings of disappointment and hurt she had built up for years). Tonight on Mothers Day, he pulled up to get our daughter and while my daughter was getting her things my mom walked out (with her cane) to get some things off her chest. He wouldnt put down his window, so she opened his car door and tried to talk to him. He said if she didnt leave that hed call the Police. I guess she was stunned and didnt budge from leaning with her cane against his car door. Next thing I know my daughters coming into the kitchen telling me her dad just called the police on Grandma. And two cop cars pull up moments later.
