Group input needed: XN overdosed on heroin in December. I was awarded an emergency motion to suspend time sharing until he is successfully rehabbed and drug free it was somewhat vague. I have since filed a petition to modify the parenting plan asking for sole parental responsibility and supervised visitation. We have mediation coming up. Does anyone have experience with drug addiction? I know the rate of relapse is high. I do not know what kind of rehab he is doing if any right now. Im not sure what I should ask for... Im thinking supervised visitation for a year with drug testing (can I ask for that) and then re-evaluate? I dont even know if hell go to supervised visits. He hasnt seen our daughter in over 6 months. The emergency motion was awarded 4 months ago. He hasnt even tried to call to talk to her. Shell be five in a few weeks. I put her in therapy as shes really struggling with not seeing him. Although the peace and lack of crazy texts and emails has been nice for me, its hard to listen to your daughter tell you she misses her daddy every day.
