Growing up, I spent more time in record shops and listening to - TopicsExpress

Growing up, I spent more time in record shops and listening to pirate stations than in clubs. 2015 makes in 30 years since I stumbled across Londons Kiss FM and a whole new angle on the music I was into. That was it - everything changed, this previously arcane world of other records just opened up and I was instantly hooked. Too many presenters and shows to mention, but props to the first wave, including Tee Harris, Dezzi D., Normany Jay, Colin Dale, Gordon Mac, Jonathan More Greenie and all the others who made me late for work and tripled my blank cassette budget - to my teenage self, these guys were deep. The first time I tuned in, I heard this (also for the first time). I couldnt believe the LP whose reviews just a couple of years earlier were so lacklustre (..sounds like Roy Ayers, etc.) contained a track so up my street, it put me in a daze (nice one, Dezzi!). Kiss really were the boom. https://youtube/watch?v=fpEsbLirpFQ
