Growing up and spending 4 decades in upstate NY of NEW ENGLAND, I - TopicsExpress

Growing up and spending 4 decades in upstate NY of NEW ENGLAND, I was always known as that crazy weather guy..... But INTENSE weather in the Northeast is comparable to the Midwest. Although Ive chased every type of weather known to the region, there was VERY few tornadoes....So for many years, intensity, was basically strong lightning storms...and I pursued them regionally. But it wasnt until 2013 that I started to try to use a camera in any serious or professional way. It was always just a passion and a way to inform others of pending storms since the days of pagers (remember them? :) ) This all changed when I finally made my move to the Midwestern plains. So tornadoes really havent been a part of my life ever actually; but severe weather and storm structure/lightning always has been. MY addiction so far has always been night-time lightning phenomenon. It will be years before I ever claim to be a professional photographer..... but in my 1st year of the fury in the plains I did manage to capture 1000s of structures and lightning, in all kinds of forms. Until I manage to get closer to Tornadoes, my true passion is for severe weather....in any form.....but my addiction is still in lightning. I am still a soloist in my storm intercepts. I hope to someday have the resources to possibly study lightning in research as well. Here a 10 sec. delay photo of me videoing a cell in Kansas with consistent lightning in it and got lucky with one of the images :)
