Some of you have been asking about cooking Dehydrated foods such as Pasta, Rice etc with enough water but not too much as to have to drain. It is easy to do this with Waterless Cookware but not impossible with regular Cookware as long as it has a tight fitting lid. Start experimenting with 2/3 the recommended amount of water. Bring water to a boil, add the Rice or Pasta stir quickly and reduce the heat to low and cover the pan. If Steam is still escaping that means the heat is too high so lower even more. Resist the urge to be peeking into the pan and leave for about 10-15 minutes. When you open it up the rice/Pasta should be cooked with nothing to drain off. Every time you open the lid you lose the heat buildup so you have to re-cover and turn back up the heat. For the first few times, you may have to add a little water (Still better than having to drain) For those who are on Weight Management, the more Nutrition you preserve in the food the quicker you will get full and therefore the less you will eat! A good set of Waterless Cookware (18-23 pcs) can be purchased for about $300.00 (The Knockoffs) and probably last you a lifetime. My set, the real thing is 38 years old. Take a look at a couple of my pieces:
