Guess i should share my 64 i talk about. I found a photo in a old album of mine on fb. This was taken in probably 2002 or 03. Its deteriorated some, as its sat outside, undriven in 10+ years. 64 Futura. 260 Ford-O-Matic. My dad bought it in 77 from his sister in laws dad, who bought it new in 64 in Tacoma Wa. I was brought home from the hospital in 82 in this car. He retired Dec 2012, and said he was gonna restore it and sell it at Mecum. My fiance started falling in love with it. She said she loves the boxy shape. The 3 of us were sitting in the back yard drinking beers last summer, and i said to dad, im gonna buy this car for Tina. I offered him a number of $3000 so he knew i was serious and not trying to lowball him. He said thats a fair price, and so, ive been buying it. It is my wedding present to her, when we get married in Aug. It will be getting 4 wheel disc brakes first. Then bags. Eventually rebuild the 260 and put a C4 in it. I want it to be an easy car for her to be able to drive, as when my mother was daily driving it in the 80s, things like power steering were never fixed, so it was harder to drive.
