Guess what 3 weeks from today is???? If you guessed the 2nd annual Thanksgiving meal for the International students and students who dont have anywhere to go, on campus, then you are correct. Many of my friends know that last year I came up with a crazy last minute idea to cook Thanksgiving meal for all the International students at school the day before Thanksgiving. It was a lot of work and way to much for me to do by myself again this year. Sooooo I am asking for help ahead of time! :) Be The Match is hosting the event this year and I am looking for student orgs to take areas to help with. It is being broken down into areas of games Mari S Martinez did an amazing job with this last year), decorations (NSLS has already signed up for this) and food. For the food several orgs (I am also getting donations from departments) can break this one down into traditional food, vegetarian, vegan and desserts. I am looking at doing 4-5 turkeys this year if anyone wants to take on the challenge of donating the turkeys, Carlos from Aramark has offered to cook and prepare them for us. Remember to watch the ads and turkeys will be going really cheap and even free with purchases the next few weeks.
