Because I have lived here for over 15 years and have seen it grow from a pile of sand to the label of “Paradise”. I have been a business partner in a Real Estate Company that specialized in the sales of homes, condominium homes, villas, and lots located not only in Gulf Harbour Yacht and Country Club but also throughout Southwest Florida – from Port Charlotte to Naples. That Florida Real Estate company was named “Premiere Place” and we enjoyed being a part of it for several years. As our business grew we knew we needed better exposure for our listings and finally agreed to be purchased by a larger company named Arvida Realty. Subsequently, Coldwell Banker Real Estate came along and purchased Arvida Realty. My husband Bob and myself (both Ohio raised and The Ohio State University participants) decided to cross the Atlantic Ocean and back in our sailboat “Sarettas Dream” during the years 2006 through 2008. Upon return I decided to re-visit the Real Estate market. I joined up with Amerivest Realty of Lee Island Coast which has been a great choice on my part. The office is state of the art with emphasis on being a “paperless office” – very green! Of course many things had changed during that time frame and the term “short sale” was not a part of my vocabulary.
