Gurkha Company Catterick in The Bupa Great North Run-10K Approximately 140 runners, mainly Trainee Rifleman (T/Rfn) from Gurkha Company,2 Infantry Training Battalion (2 ITB) and Gurkha Permanent Staff (PS), successfully participated in the Bupa Great North Run-10K. Running next to world class elite runners, T/Rfn Nichahang Rai finished first from within 2 ITB personnel achieving overall position of 33rd among 3249 runners with a superb timing of 37:01 minutes while Uganda’s Mr Stephen Kiprotich - an Olympic and World Marathon champion completed the race in a remarkable time of 29:39 minutes.
