Guys. $902. Im blown away. Thank you. Thank you for those that came and helped, shopped, lent me tables, donated goods, donated money, and even those that liked my fb statuses and pics. I feel so supported in this goal its beyond words. I know I already shared some stories about the yard sale. But, too bad. I am going to share more. Why? Because you all made these stories happen. I will be the first to admit I am the worst salesman ever. But despite giving away things for way too cheap I still made more than I imagined and the following people hugely benefited: ~the Mom of 5 kids who lost everything she owned to a fire. She came twice and filled her van with things others might take for granted. ~the teen who had no money, but is now sporting some slightly used clothes and kicks. ~the cancer survivor, who stocked up on toys for when his Grandkids visit. ~the obviously low income dirty little boys with their Dad, that each bought a toy with their own penny. ~the lady who drove the really nice car, in nice clothes, that insisted on paying a nickel, and wanted change for her quarter. Okay, she doesnt fit like the others but she taught me something too. ~the mother who recently lost her youngest teen daughter, but was able to buy a bassinet and clothes for her new grandchild, which made her smile. ~and the last one I will share happened when I was cleaning up. A cute young Mom was shopping for a pregnant lady she saw on Craigslist that said she had moved to St George with her 2 kids, and a van. That was it. Nothing else. So, now her new baby has tons of clothes, a baby swing, and clothes for her other 2 kids. Again thank you! Thank you. Everyone. Including the handful of neighbor kids who asked to be hired for work, and took soda and garage sale items for payment. I cant make this awesomeness up. Good good day. Im exhausted.
