Guys on 16-12-12 i had been to Sandynallah reservoir Ooty ,its about 124km from mysore and 264km from bangalore. It is a picnic spot and a film shooting spot on the slopes of the Wenlock Downs.The various tourist activities the dam include fishing and studying nature and environment.This lake is a beautiful location with the hills of the Western Ghats overlooking it. Fishermen in their coracles, coconut and banana plantations and cardamom estates are the common sights making a tropical atmosphere prevalent here. Swimming is allowed.Taking walks through the countryside in the area is one of the most popular activities in this area,Many birds can be sighted . Birds such as peacocks, storks, kingfishers, cranes, herons and sunbirds are all known to frequent the area. Trekking is another popular tourist activity in the area, Although tigers are not seen in this area, other types of wildlife do flourish in this region. It is common to see leopards, mongooses, monkeys, barking deer, Indian bison and wild boar throughout the area. Overall a gud place for fishing, swimming and spend some quality time with friends and family..
