Guys, to prove how messed up our government is.... Lance Cpl. Kyle Carpenter, a United States Marine, is a Medal of Honor recipient. He is 24 years old. He jumped in front of a live grenade to shield a fellow comrade. The injuries he received were absolutely indescribable. 30 bones broken in his right arm, complete loss of vision in his right eye, he flat lined 3 times, he lost most of his lower jaw, one of his lungs were punctured, he lost nearly all his teeth, and a bunch of other awful things. He even had to get shrapnel taken out of his brain(This info is coming from his interview on The Late Show, by the way.Ill post the video link). He was pronounced PEA (Patient expired upon arrival) at nearly the first field hospital he went to, and it took him 5 weeks to wake up from his awful coma. Hes alive and well nowadays, and he is retired from the Corps. This man is practically unheard of, and is a hero. Now we have Bowe Berghdal, a traitor to the US and a deserter...Getting his own movie...Getting on talkshows...Getting boosted up 2 ranks...Getting praise for his actions from every which way... Everyone knows him. Its a shame that this nation seems to focus on traitors rather than heroes. Im glad men like LCPL Carpenter live and serve. It helps me sleep at night knowing such courageous people are fighting to keep me and those within this nation safe.
