Gymnasts need to build strong bones to support their own body weight. *TIP* When the sun is out have a jump skip around the garden then drink a glass of milk. Why? 1. Studies into osteoporosis prevention says children doing 20 JUMPS a day until the age of 20 increases the build of bone mass. Bones start to break down at around age 40. If you have more bone there to start with the less chance of getting osteoporosis. 2. Drinking milk helps build up muscle and bone mass due to leucine and calcium 3.The Sun gives us Vitamin D- This helps us absorb calcium which is good for building strong bones.
