H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Issues Resolution to Name Khalid Ali Bin Zayed as Secretary General for “H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Creative Sports Award” H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Rashid Al-Maktoum, the Chairman of “H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Creative Sports Award” and President of the National Olympic Committee, has issued a resolution to name Mr. Khalid Ali Bin Zayed as Secretary General for the Award as of 20th Jan. 2015. Mr. Khalid Ali Bin Zayed has been appointed as Secretary General of the Award, only few days in succession of the successful conclusion for the 6th edition of the Award; the greatest of its kind with respect to its various categories & financial rewards and the first that deals with sports creativity. Mr. Khalid Ali Bin Zayed has joined the membership of the Executive Office of Dubai Sports Council since 2009 and has also assumed several sports designations; among which are the: Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the Fast & Blitz Chess – 2014 / Secretary General of Dubai Chess Club for 16 years (from 1993 to 2009) / Member in the Board of Trustees of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Corporation for Charitable & Humanitarian Activities since 2001. In the job field, Mr. Khaid Bin Zayed is currently serving as Assistant Director General for the International Affairs & Partnership Sector in Dubai Municipality, where he also served as Manager of the Municipality Centers in 2003 & Director of the HR Dept. (2011 – 2012). The new Secretary General of the Award holds the Degree of Bachelor in Media from the Emirates University. He was elected for the membership of the Federal National Council from 2007 to 2011,during which he assumed the chairmanship of the Committee of Foreign Affairs, Planning, Petroleum, Mineral & Agricultural Resources and Fisheries Resources (2008 – 2011). He also assumed the chairmanship of the Temporary Committee of Media in 2007 / the membership of the organizing committees of several regional & international events; top of which are the Chairmanship of the Media Committee in the International Monetary Fund Conference – Dubai 2003, beside several other endurance & chess championships
