HALLOWEEN DOG TREATS: Low Calorie Pumpkin Dog Biscuits. These are great halloween dog treats for all dogs as they are low in fat and high in fibre. Pumpkin for dogs is a great food - filling but low calorie. And tasty too! Most dogs like pumpkin so this is a tasty treat, its quite easy to make and smells delicious! Although you can make it all year round, it is fun to make it into a halloween snack so your dog can join in the holiday fun. You can use black treacle instead of molasses. If you dont want to make the treat wheat free, then use 2 cups of plain/all-purpose flour instead of rice flour. Recipe Details Ingredients 3 cups Rice flour. 2 Egg whites 3 tablespoons Applesauce. 1 tablespoon Molasses or Treacle 1/2 cup chopped raw Pumpkin 1/2 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon 1/2 cup Water Directions Turn oven on at 200C/400F degrees. Pour the flour into a bowl and add the cinnamon and nutmeg. Using a food processor, puree the pumpkin until it is chopped into little pieces. Add the pumpkin. applesauce, egg whites and molasses to the flour. Slowly add the water until you have a dough. Mix well until dough is only slightly sticky then roll out on a floured surface. Using cookie cutters, cut and place on a baking tray. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes Take them out and leave them to cool. They will get crunchier as they cool.
