Bosco Ogwang aka Daniel Komakech to serve 30 years in jail after being found guilty of murdering Dembelyo MTN agent Meddie Tamale in Mukono. Police has started investigating claims of another student kidnap after a student of Seeta high school in Mukono went missing about five days ago. The purported kidnappers have since called the mother of their victim demanding for a ransom threatening to kill her if the mother did not yield to their demands. Meanwhile, Police Publicist Kampala Metropolitan, Idi Ibin Ssenkumbi has said that police has so far arrested five people including a woman in connection to the recent kidnap and murder of Joan Namazi. Ssenkumbi adds that the delay in the investigation of the girl’s kidnap and death has been mainly caused by telephone companies that have not been so cooperative. The State Minister for Regional Cooperation Asuman Kiyingi has called upon the government and the lord mayor to solve their issues amicably. Kiyingi says lukwagos duties are largely ceremonial warning that the unending court battles will only affect service delivery in the city. Kiyingis comments come just a day after Court of Appeal Justice Kavuma issued an order blocking Lukwago from resuming his activities as Mayor. Police in Kabalagala has arrested one of its officers for allegedly shooting stray bullets that have injured two people in Ggaba. Moses Balabye, attached to Kabalagala police station was detained after shooting Christopher Nsubuga in the leg and Ali Lule on the shoulder in the wee hours of the night at Ggaba landing site. the officer is being interrogated at Central Police Station Kampala, to find out what really caused the shooting.
