Fried a classic as well. ****DID I SEE THAT IT IS MOLLY GWENS BIRTHDAY TODAY? WELL IF IT IS CERTAINLY A HUGE HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISH TO ONE GREAT SPECIAL YOUNG LADY..... ****I AM CONTINUING THE WINTER WEATHER WATCH FOR THE TIME PERIOD OF LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO EARLY SATURDAY NIGHT**** This is for points north and northwest of NYC. If you are out on LI, or within NYC, or along the Jersey coastal plain, you may very well see a BRIEF period of snow/sleet prior to the rain. just do not think it would warrant any kind of advisory. ****FOR EVERYONE: (EXCEPT NORTH OF CENTRAL NEW ENGLAND) The winter weather will turn to rain, (SORRY CHELSEY Maher) as a southerly flow aloft will bring in mild air. Actually for areas south of the Hudson Valley in NY that milder air will make it to the surface for Sunday....BUT!!!!!and it is a HUGE BUT! it is a 1 day warm up....we will be back into cold, quite possibly the coldest air of the winter, for most of next week starting Monday/night. TIME TABLE: (Subject to change, as we are still 48 hours in advance of the system) SATURDAY: Clouds increase from midday to mid-afternoon. SNOW/SLEET breaks out-depending on where you live from mid-afternoon to late afternoon. (NORTH/NORTHWEST OF CITY-A PERIOD OF ACCUMULATING SNOW/SLEET IS LIKELY...1-2....) SATURDAY NIGHT: WINTER WEATHER turns to rainy weather. (WAY UP IN NY STATE AND NEW ENGLAND IT WILL BE A ICY/SNOWY NIGHT) SUNDAY: MILD...with showers- MONDAY: BOTTOM FALLS OUT OF THERMOMETER-AGAIN... EVERYONE...please understand. The air mass behind this weekend storm is truly of SIBERIAN ORIGIN! Remember last January? Well with snow cover this air mass would be as cold... SPEAKING OF SNOW COVER!!!! WATCHING A CLIPPER SYSTEM, WITH POSSIBLE LATE COASTAL DEVELOPMENT FOR TUESDAY LATE INTO WEDNESDAY....stay tuned.....This type of system, in the past, has put down a nice 2-4 snowfall. AGAIN: This week was a cold week. Each day was a few degree below normal(3-5). If we had snow cover it would have been more like 5-8 below normal. NEXT WEEK THE AIR MASS WILL BE 5-10 BELOW NORMAL W/O SNOW COVER....GET THE WOOD, WOOD PELLETS, OIL, GAS, WHATEVER-READY.
