HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB Robert Lenard Bogle was born in Wagoner, Oklahoma on January 16th, 1934. A self-taught guitar player, Bob met Don Wilson in Seattle in 1958, where they worked together on construction sites. They went on to form a band, The Versatones, which evolved into The Ventures. Bob played his famous Mosrite lead guitar on their biggest hit, 1960’s “Walk Don’t Run”. The biggest selling instrumental band of all time was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008. Mr. Bogle passed away in 2008.
