HAPPY NEW YEAR, EUFAULA!! Hope that this the last day of 2014 finds you well & happy. Now, from the Dukes, best wishes for a blessed, joyous, happy, & prosperous 2015 for everyone!! May the new year bring health, prosperity, & happiness to us all. Have you had a long-time dream? Is there something youve prayed & wished for a long time? May 15 be the year it comes!! May we all enjoy, not only the big occasions such as a cruise, vacation, or other big occasions, but may we make celebrations of seemingly ordinary days & occasions. May 15 be the year in which broken family relationships are restored, family & friends become closer, & may we all have a great resolve, to slow down & enjoy the good things in life, to enjoy the natural beauty around us, & enjoy all the blessings God has given us. Lets all be determined, that technology will not rule our lives, to a point, that we miss the best things in life. Heres hoping that your year is full of simple joys & pleasures. May all seasons bring their own kind of happiness in the simple things in life, when songs of birds & voices of those we love, more frequently replace the noises of tv & video games, when face-to-face visits with those dear, more frequently replace cold & impersonable high-tech means of communication. With just a little determination, we can make it happen. Once in Sunday School several years ago, I remarked, that tv keeps a lot of folks away from church. But a wise elderly gentleman set me straight, reminding me that TVs can be turned off. I am inclined to think the same goes for other high-tech devices that often interfere with family time in this postmodern age, when allowed to. Yes, todays technology can do a lot of things, but we are still in control. Hopes that next New Years Eve, we can all look back with fond memories, on what a fantastic year 2015 will have been. May next year be a year that good health & prosperity come to us all. Also, may we all find the real pleasures in life, such as a spring Saturday being spent with the family, fishing. May this summer vacation be 1 you will be talking about at the table next Thanksgiving & Christmas. So from us to all Ironheads, may the very best come to you in 2015, & it be a year, when we really enjoy the blessings of life, & your dreams come true, & even unexpected joys. Happy New Year, & God bless us, every one!!
