HAPPY NEW YEAR TO THE LIVING AND THE DEAD This New Year I celebrate life And pay tribute to the dead. Dont be surprised For their air We breathe In and out. In our lungs We carry the living and the dead Their dreams of a happy life Their hope for a better world. A world where collaboration overcomes competition and greed where love reigns and its mere existence destroys our dragons of fear, and forgiveness rushes like a mighty stream. May the New Year bless us with the blowing wind of those who came before us. The wind that carries us back to the speck of light we all came from to open our hearts and guide us into a new age. The age of conscious awareness, forgiveness, cooperation, and mutual understanding. An age where ruthless competition is a thing of the past. An age to celebrate our divine diversity. Where actions driven by Love and not bombs are used to resolve domestic and international conflicts. An age where all people are compensated a living wage for their creative work. This New Year forget stereotypes and prejudice, they are unnatural hindrances to the evolution of the spirit. Forget over consumption, it only leads to the deterioration of the physical body, mind, and spirit. Yet, honor simplicity and all of its beauty. Lets take what we need and share the rest with every creature on this heavenly planet. We are all one family. Lets meet all creatures with an open heart and give them no less than what we would want others to give us. Cant you see? Its really that simple. This New Years Eve let us light a candle to celebrate not only the living, but also the dead. Those who hoped for a just world. Allow their air to penetrate our lungs, nourish our spirit, and fuel our hearts with undying love, so that we may continue to build a better world for the living who will one day-–when we are long gone pay us tribute on New Years Eve.
